Hi all! The latest blog is up about being a grad student and teacher during Covid-19. My colleagues and I have gone through a lot of adjustments over the past month, and I wrote this blog hoping to shed some light on how universities need to extend leniency to their grad students and instructors just like they do for undergrads. Link to my blog is in my bio! Please let me know what you think and if you feel like, subscribe or comment on the actual blog itself! Thanks for the support y’all!

Sometimes I act like my whole life doesn’t revolve around these kids, but it definitely does. I have known and taught these young ladies since they were little. What a joy it is to see them become artists. 💕🖤💕🖤

Attention everyone! It’s my favorite red heads birthday! I know I’m a little late, but hopefully doesn’t hate me for it! Thanks for always being the friend who tells it like it is. I might be old, but just remember - nobody likes you when you’re 23.

New blog post up! This one was harder to write than most, but still something so important for teachers to remember. My newest post discusses all the ways teachers become “famous” in our lives, but sometimes it’s in ways you don’t expect. Please check it out, and if you like what you read subscribe or comment in the blog! It would mean a lot to me. ❤️ Here is the link: https://williamsafterclass.wordpress.com/2020/01/05/teaching-is-a-different-kind-of-famous/

It’s Father’s Day Weekend! Let’s celebrate the men who have taught us some of life’s most valuable lessons! Over the years, what have your fathers, step fathers, grandfathers, etc taught you? Comment those lessons below! It can be anything- funny, sweet, tough love - you name it!

My Dad taught me that sometimes life needs to be enjoyed at a slower pace. Rushing is sometimes necessary, but if you are always rushing life will rush right past you. ❤️

Happy Father’s Day to all those awesome Fathers out there!

The Studio that Built Me 06/04/2019

In the spirit of recital season, I have dedicated this month's blog to dance and all my friends who currently dance, teach dance, or have danced in the past. For anyone who wants to know how dancing and teaching dance can impact someone's life, this is the blog for you. It is so much more than a hobby.

I hope you enjoy my article, "The Studio That Built Me" and feel free to like, share, and leave your comments on the page. I love hearing any and all feedback.

Also, picture credit to the fabulous Sherry Townsend! Thanks for capturing my girls at the perfect moment.

Happy Reading!

The Studio that Built Me When I was interviewing for a GTA position at Radford University, the very first question the interview committee asked was “How might you incorporate your dance background into your classroom here…

To the Student Who Failed My Class 05/07/2019

Hello Everyone! My latest blog post is up and ready to view! This semester has been eye opening, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach at Radford University. This post "To The Student Who Failed My Class" sheds light on how a teacher might view a student who did not do well in their course. We love our students, regardless of their grades, and we sincerely hope our students believe that. Enjoy!

To the Student Who Failed My Class From the moment you walked into my classroom, sat at your desk, and waited for me to begin our first day of instruction, I wanted you to succeed. At no moment did I ever imagine you failing. In fac…
