Camp Carondelet is BACK IN SESSION! We were so excited to see so many new and returning faces for our first week.
Our campers spent their week participating in some favorite activities like Cafe Carondelet and the Laugh Out Loud Improv Club, and exploring new options like Math Made AMAZING! They even got to cool off in the pool at the Carondelet Athletics Complex!
Next week, Camp continues for our 3rd through 8th-grade girls, PLUS Adventure Week kicks off for 7th and 8th-graders. There are still spots available for 5th through 8th-grade girls for our second week of Adventure Week (July 6–July 10). Register here: https://summeratcarondelet.campbrainregistration.com/
Carondelet High School
Carondelet is a private college-prep girls' school founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet
Carondelet High School was founded in 1965 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet at the request of Bishop Floyd Begin, first bishop of Oakland. In the tradition of their congregation, the Sisters responded to the needs of the Church by establishing the only Catholic secondary school for young women of Contra Costa County.

Last week, College Counseling hosted a College Fair where students met with college representatives and learned more about a variety of schools, including Creighton University, Sacred Heart University, University of the Pacific, and more. Thank you to the college representatives that came out to meet our students!

From baking to painting to crystal formations, students in Katie Hutches' Chemistry Honors class were tasked to create a unique physical art piece using two to three different chemistry principles. As their final project, students presented their creations and explained the science behind the art, demonstrating the fascinating connections between chemistry and creativity. ✨🧪

Earlier this week, we welcomed our incoming frosh to campus for a fun-filled movie night! 🍿🎥 Peer counselors kicked off the evening with icebreakers, giving students a chance to meet new friends before enjoying pizza, popcorn, candy, and a movie together in the Jean Hofmann Center for Innovation.

This week, our College Counseling team hosted "College Kickstart," a hands-on opportunity for our rising seniors to get a jump on their college search and applications. College counselors were present to guide students through every step of the college application process, from researching schools to drafting essays to beginning the application process online. College Kickstart is a great way to start preparing and planning for the future! 📚

Join us in congratulating Lucy S. ’29 for receiving 2nd place in the High School Art category of the 2026 Mount Diablo Peace and Justice Center's 28th Annual Art and Writing Challenge. The challenge began in 1998 as a way to develop and promote peace in Contra Costa County. Each year, it gives middle and high school students a chance to meditate on issues affecting their lives and create written or visual art to stimulate discussion.
This year’s prompt asked students to reflect on what working toward a peaceful and just world means to them. Congratulations, Lucy!

We loved celebrating our hardworking and dedicated volunteers this morning with coffee and pastries! Without their presence and contributions, our annual events, initiatives, and community-building efforts would not be possible.
Thank you for supporting Carondelet! We are so grateful for you. 💛

As our 60th year comes to a close, join us in recognizing the team that supports our students through their high school career and into their college pathways: our College Counselors! Carondelet's goal for our students has always been to prepare them for their next steps in life, empowered by their Catholic, college-preparatory education, and to be known as women who respond to the needs of the times and make a positive difference.
As they do every year, our College Counseling team walked alongside our students, helping them find their right path. Here's a glance at the Class of 2026's path, by the numbers.

Finals continue this week, and we had some special visitors to help students stay fueled up and rejuvenated between testing. The Parents Guild and Grandparents Clubs handed out snacks, drinks, and popsicles, while the Wellness team brought in therapy dogs for a quick cuddle!
Thank you to everyone who donated snacks or came out to make our students' day a little brighter.
