Today, Mr. Kane, my Earth science coteacher, called me out mid lesson and said, “here Mrs. Francis, you called out these scenarios and I’ll call out the correct response for students.”

Today, as we wrapped up an exhausting week at CHS, I’m reminded that everything we do….MATTERS!
This photo right here is a glimpse of how students are responding to our teaching and the relationship building.

Students who have interrupted education because they left their home country or were taken back to their parents’ country…and are now being fully immersed in our school & US school system.

They’re missing a lot of the “background knowledge” required to operate at grade level…HOWEVER, they are excited, motivated, and resilient to make it!

Love how my math co-teacher is embracing this challenge and holds the bar high as well as providing all the scaffolding needed to help them be successful.

I’m enjoying my weekend…with this image in mind.
