✨ 🎭 Children proudly presented our annual performance of The Great Kapok Tree, a beloved tradition at West Concord!

From the very beginning, this production is truly a child centered endeavor. The children worked together to create their own costumes and set pieces, using their creativity and imagination to bring the rainforest to life. They spent weeks practicing songs, learning their parts, and rehearsing with enthusiasm!

We are so proud of their dedication throughout the process! Thank you to our families for supporting this special tradition and celebrating the incredible efforts of our young performers! 💚🌿

Support from the Foundation ensures that all children and families, regardless of financial status, have the opportunity to experience the wonder and joy that our educators create each day. Current and past CCC Board members and staff gathered outside the West Concord infant-toddler playground yesterday to dedicate a tree to long-time CCC Board member Stephan Bader. Stephan served on the Board for almost 20 years — from 2002-2006 and from 2010-2025.

Located at the corner of Main and Church Streets, the tree honors Stephan and his work for not only CCC but the Town of Concord. The tree is accompanied by a plaque reading “in honor of Stephan Bader, CCC Treasurer, for his tireless service to the children and families of Concord.” Thank you, Stephan!

Our Farm to School team hosted a Build, Bloom and Scoop Spring Event for families at Gaining Ground on May 2! 🌸🌷🌼

🌿Participants enjoyed playing with natural loose parts
🍃Using mortars and pestles to make little bags with plants and flowers
🌻Planting sunflowers in small pots
🖍️Coloring on paper bags
📚and hearing a story from educator, Diane Krug!

Our Crescent Room yesterday celebrated winning this year's Giving Challenge (with 100 PERCENT classroom participation!) with a fun morning at Rideout Playground followed by a yummy lunch of pizza and popsicles!
