Please join us in remembering Cecilia "Honey" O'Leary (1936-2026), who dedicated 27 years of her life to supporting Carondelet students, parents and guardians, faculty, and staff.

For those interested in celebrating her life, a funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 1:30 PM at Christ the King in Pleasant Hill, with a gathering afterward in the parish hall.

For generations of Carondelet students, Honey O’Leary was more than a religious studies teacher—she was a mentor, role model, and champion of service.

Honey retired in 2001 but returned in 2009 to serve as the full-time community service director, continuing to share her warmth, wisdom, and commitment to others. She taught us that faith is not just something we believe, but something we live every day.

In 2021, Honey received the Inspirational Mentor of the Year Award. In her acceptance speech, she stated, "I am grateful to God for the gift of teaching. I am grateful to the Carondelet community for the privilege of teaching and learning from open-minded students, collaborative colleagues, and involved parents who embodied the heart, faith, and courage of the Sisters of St. Joseph."

Thank you, Honey, for the lasting impact you made on generations of Cougars. We are grateful for you. May your soul rest in peace.

If you would like to make a gift in Honey’s memory, please consider Carondelet’s Tuition Assistance Program. Click the link to donate: https://www.carondeleths.org/contribute/donate-online/

We will gratefully inform the family of your support.

Friday night was one for the books!

Our alumnae hit it out of the ballpark as they dusted off their cleats, grabbed their gloves, and took to the field for the Alumnae Softball Game against the Carondelet Varsity team. It was a special night to welcome our alumnae back to the diamond—reconnecting, competing, and celebrating the lifelong bond they share.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, cheer, and support our teams. Your Cougar pride made the night unforgettable! Once a Cougar, always a Cougar!

For 60 years, Carondelet High School has empowered young women through a dynamic and evolving academic experience. And while our faculty and academic departments may look a little different, the mission remains the same—helping Carondelet students to acquire the skills they need in their ever-changing future.

Across every department—English, Kinesiology, Math, Modern Language, Religious Studies, Science, Social Studies, and Visual & Performing Arts and Computer Science—Carondelet's students are challenged to think critically, grow in confidence, and discover their passions. Each discipline plays a role in forming thoughtful leaders, creative problem-solvers, and women prepared to meet the needs of the times.

As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we honor the teachers, programs, and possibilities that continue to shape a Carondelet education—one that is as well-rounded as it is transformative.
