It’s show time! Come on out for an amazing Night of Jazz!!!

The last few weeks have been full of Jazz! Thank you to Dr. Will Campbell from UNC Charlotte for working with our students and to Mr. Pavel Wlosok and the Western Carolina Jazz Ensemble for their fine performance!

Congratulations to one of our Juniors for performing with the NC All-State Jazz Band for the 2nd time!

Congratulations to two of our fine percussionist on their performance tonight. One is a member of Revelation A Independent Percussion and the other is a member of Kannapolis Independent Percussion. Great job fellas!

Congratulations to our winterguard on a wonderful performance this weekend at Mooresville HS!

Been a busy few weeks but super proud of all of our students at Robinson. Had a good representation of students at All-County Band (some students missing from the pic due to schedule change), 2 students at All-District Band, 1 student participating with the West Region Jazz Band, and our Winterguard who performed for the first time this season! Congratulations to all, you make us proud at Jay M Robinson High School!

The Concord community lost a GREAT one last week… Mr. Stacey Douglas was one of the biggest supporters of The Bands of Robinson. This man was not only one of our biggest cheerleaders but one of our biggest supporters that dates way back to our first band director Blair Smith. While I (Mr. Dills) only had the privilege to work with him for 2 years, he made a huge impact on my life. I can’t imagine the impact he made on all of the students that passed through our hallways.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for this amazing man on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, at 3pm at Jay M Robinson High School.

Such a wonderful concert! Congratulations students! Way to represent Jay M Robinson HS, so proud!
