New Hampshire’s community colleges lead New England and stand among the nation’s top institutions, ranked No. 1 regionally and No. 6 in the U.S. by WalletHub. For the second consecutive year, we’re recognized for exceptional quality, outcomes, and affordability, moving up from ninth place last year.

“Our CCSNH students, faculty, and staff are talented, hardworking, and dedicated to building a stronger future for our state. We will continue to ensure our community colleges are affordable, innovative, and responsive to the needs of growing businesses in New Hampshire.” - Governor Kelly Ayotte

With seven colleges serving over 25,000 students statewide, we’re proud to shape New Hampshire’s future and set the standard for success.

The community colleges that comprise the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) were named the best in New England and sixth best in the nation by WalletHub based on individual-school level analysis across 613 institutions and 18 key metrics.

This summer, the automotive program at Lakes Region Community College teamed up with Girls Inc. of New Hampshire's Young Women in Leadership program to show rising 7th–9th graders what an automotive career can look like.

Under Kim Stevenson, the only female post-secondary automotive instructor in the state, campers rotated through hands-on stations: changing tires, checking tread and pressure, identifying parts under the hood, and swapping wipers & filters. The New Hampshire State Police ran a seatbelt relay challenge. From there, campers took on leadership roles, helping lead activity stations for younger participants at McGovern Toyota of Concord, exploring the sales side of the industry. A lot of new skills. And a much greater sense of what's possible.

At Lakes Region Community College, honoring service means showing up.

Last November, LRCC President Patrick Cate launched BRAVO — Building Relationships and Veteran Outreach — to strengthen the college's bond with NH's veteran community. Since then, students, faculty & staff have been volunteering at the NH Veterans Home.

They've shared coffee and handwritten thank-you cards with residents. They've painted side by side in the art studio. They've planted vegetables in the garden and swapped stories along the way.

It's a simple idea. Spend real time with the people who served, and build something lasting on both sides. We're proud of the work happening at LRCC.

LRCC's BRAVO initiative celebrates the service of New Hampshire’s veterans while building lasting bonds with our Veteran community.

A message for New Hampshire parents: Your high schooler can earn real college credit before they graduate. Our Early College programs let students take college courses at a fraction of the cost, get a head start on a degree, and find out what they want to focus on in college a lot sooner.
