On a day like no other

We, Montessori, commute to and from school and hope …. With deepest faith…. That our days will unravel smoothly.

We travel by foot, bus, car, train, boat and ferry and in our commute so many thoughts come to mind.

Our beautiful days yesterday and the day before…

Challenges that arise and needed to be solved.

Children that are going through hard times needing more than just a “teacher”…. Needing more….

Eyes that see them in moments of truth

Ears that hear them in moments of…Hope.

Hearts that feel them in moments of compassion.

We hold in our brains processor all that we’ve studied academically:- Our Montessori Albums filled to the brink with Presentations, tips and tricks.
Beautifully illustrated with pictures that we never thought we’d ever be able to do…LOL….. every Montessori teacher who went through the AMI Training…..painstakingly having to draw - illustrate - hands, shoes, jugs, spoons, dressing frames….LOL doors…. Flower arranging….spindle boxes…beads frames….. whatever drawings had to be completed….LOL and we were “overwhelmed” because we didn’t know HOW TO? LOL.
Do you remember?

And yet we overcame that. And we were suddenly all “artists” and could draw such intricate things like

A CHILD ROLLING UP A MAT (gasp)

From not being able to draw a moon to suddenly drawing HANDS AND FINGERS (double gasp)

LOL

The reason WHY it’s so important to train at an accredited training center AND choose a MENTOR to work with throughout the years.

yes, challenges… sometimes small…sometimes big…. Sometimes overwhelming.

Yet, we somehow get through it.

Choose your training centers well. AMI, AMS, National…other…. The choices are personal…individual and find great mentors.

LIFE - it is.

So much more. Our hearts, our souls must shine for the child, for the parent, for our greater community.
