When we first opened Tanglewood Hollow, we dreamed of creating a place where children could connect with the natural world, follow their curiosity, and find a community of others who loved learning and exploring alongside them.
Over the last few years, we’ve watched that little dream grow into something far beyond what we imagined. And somewhere along the way, this space became so much more than just the place where we held our classes.
We’ve watched children walk through these doors for the first time feeling a little unsure, only to return week after week and eventually feel completely at home. We’ve watched friendships form around our tables, families find one another, children discover new passions, and so many wonderful little moments unfold within these walls.
We know that many of you have come to love this space just as much as we have. That’s what makes this announcement a bittersweet one.
This will be our final season at our Concord location.
But Tanglewood Hollow isn’t closing. We’re growing into something we’ve dreamed about for a very long time.
When we imagined Tanglewood Hollow from the beginning, we dreamed of a place where children could step directly into nature, not just learn about it from inside a building. A place where we could walk out the door and into a garden, follow a trail into the woods, look for salamanders beneath logs, watch birds from an outdoor classroom, grow native plants, study insects, and let the land itself become part of what we teach.
We’re finally ready to begin creating that place.
Our next chapter will bring Tanglewood Hollow a different property, where we’ll quite literally be building a new building with access to forests, gardens, trails, wildlife habitats, outdoor learning spaces, and so much more. (And for those wondering, no, it’s not Petals in the Pines! 😆)
There are going to be a lot of emotions as we say goodbye to our Concord home. There are so many memories tucked into this little space, and we will always be grateful for the chapter of Tanglewood Hollow that happened here.
But more than anything, we’re excited.
This isn’t the end of Tanglewood Hollow. It’s the beginning of the version we’ve been dreaming about all along.
And we can’t wait to bring you along as we build it. 🌿
