NHTI – Concord's Community College is a dynamic public institution of higher learning that provides accessible, rigorous education for students, businesses, and the community. NHTI was opened in 1965 under the name New Hampshire Technical Institute with three engineering technology programs. This name honors our past and reflects our growth to a comprehensive community college with more than 70 academic programs and full campus life. NHTI is situated in south central New Hampshire in the capital city of Concord. The campus is located on 240 acres of fields and woods with frontage on the Merrimack River. It is an easy drive to the White Mountains, New Hampshire's Lakes Region, the New England seacoast and metropolitan Boston. With a 110 full-time faculty and over 300 adjunct faculty members, our typical class size is 15 to 25 students with an average age of 25. We have approximately 4,568 day, evening and weekend credit and noncredit students attending NHTI each year. 4.84 % of our students report ethnicity other than Caucasian (including African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander and Native American), and the general student body is made up of 45% men and 55% women.

Congratulations to NHTI’s 2026 Chancellor’s Award recipients, Christie Cho and Billie Lunt!

Christie Cho, College Director of Library Programs and Services, received the Chancellor’s Award for Service Excellence. Christie was recognized for her outstanding leadership, dedication to student success, and continued efforts to strengthen NHTI’s library services. Through her work, she has expanded access to digital resources, improved library spaces to better support student learning and collaboration, and provided valuable guidance to students and faculty. Her commitment to enhancing library operations, supporting academic success, and serving the broader NHTI community has made a lasting impact at NHTI.

Billie Lunt, Department Chair and Dental Hygiene Program Coordinator, received the Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Billie was recognized for her dedication to student success, professionalism, and commitment to providing engaging and effective learning experiences. Beyond the classroom, she actively collaborates with colleagues, contributes to college-wide initiatives, and demonstrates a strong commitment to professional development. Her creativity, leadership, and continued service to the NHTI community have made a meaningful impact on both students and colleagues.

Have you heard?! NHTI's women's volleyball team is charging toward regional competitions with multiple winning streaks and individual player awards. Following our September 30 win, the Lynx move into second place in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) East Region with a 7-2 record. 💪‼️ Next up, we host Central Maine Community College on Sunday, October 4 for a match during our NHTI Athletics Homecoming Weekend!

At the Paralegal Association of New Hampshire's (PANH) annual meeting, NHTI was represented through some fantastic awards! 🎉

Our own program coordinator, Stacey Peters, was the keynote speaker for the event. NHTI alum Heather McCandless won the New Hampshire Bar Association's Paralegal Professionalism Award. And recent graduate of our certificate program, Raquel Lopez, won the peer-to-peer award. What an incredible sweep for our Lynx! 🌟
