This meal train is being organized for the Parr family as they mourn the loss of Jeremy Parr, husband to Tia Parr, and father to their five children.

After several years of living with kidney failure, Jeremy passed away peacefully with his wife and best friend, Tia, by his side, early Friday morning, March 15, 2024. All of his children were with him as he neared his transition. It is with deep sadness and grief that this wonderful family mourns his loss.

This is a time to show them all how much they mean to us and to give back, whether in the form of food, gift cards, money, or acts of service. Anything will be greatly appreciated to help ease their hearts and minds at this difficult time.

Jeremy had been out of work as his illness progressed, and Tia became the sole income provider to manage their family and mounting medical expenses to care for and comfort him.

I AM CALLING ON The Parrs' IMMEDIATE FAMILY & COMMUNITY, expanding out into their wider circles, and to those who have weaved in and out throughout the 20 or so years that The Parrs have been homeschooling, in New Hampshire and Arkansas.

I AM CALLING ON ANY and ALL PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE CLIENTS of Tia Parr's to remember the times that Tia held and supported you throughout some of the most impactful times in your life. How can WE ALL give back and support the woman who has supported literally thousands of people in her Birth work as a Birth Doula over the last decade?

I AM CALLING ON ANY and ALL BIRTH WORKERS who have had the opportunity to serve alongside Tia Parr. Let's show her the care and support that she and her family deserve as they navigate life without Jeremy, husband, and father.

LET'S GIVE BACK to the woman and her family who have only ever GIVEN.

Please text 603-998-2607 or email [email protected] for any questions about this mealtrain so we can leave them in peace at this time.

There will be a cooler at the end of their driveway for easy smooth drop offs.

Money donations can be made on this mealtrain page or directly to Tia via VENMO -Parr

🌹 Beet Kvass 🌹made with beets from our local better than organic biologic farm

🌹A digestive aid, blood tonic, blood alkalizer, liver cleanser and helpful treatment for kidney stones and other ailments.

🌹 4 ounces in the morning and 4 ounces at night. Beets are loaded with nutrients and are a powerful medicine.

🌹Recipe found in my all time favorite cookbook 📖 “Nourishing Traditions; the cookbook that challenges politically correct nutrition and the diet dictocrats by based off Weston A. Price, DDS legendary research 📖 “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration”

🤎You’re home with your newborn, breasts engorged with milk, v***a swollen and sore, your partner has gone back to work, the laundry/dishes have piled up, your other children needing you, you’re weepy and you don’t know why you can’t stop crying. And you’re hungrier than you’ve ever been!

🤎There’s so much to do and you don’t know why you can’t just ‘get it together’ and get it all done.

🤎 Let me tell you darling, you were NEVER supposed to/meant to be able to get it all done on your own! In traditional cultures all around the world, after the Mother brings new life into the world, the people around would make sure that the New Mother (no matter how many babies she’s already had) would have a period of time, roughly 3 weeks to 40 days, of lying in.

🤎An extended period of time to *truly* rest, heal, recover, bond, integrate, be nourished, to be witnessed and honored for all of her hard work of growing, birthing and bringing new life into this world.

🤎But how is would this be possible? The village made it possible. Actually, the village made the New Mother a priority, for they knew/know that a healthy happy Mother makes for a healthy happy baby, which makes for healthy happy members of the village as a whole.

🤎If we had strong healthy villages who put the New Mothers first, I would not be here writing this nor would you be interested in reading about this. I would not be called to be part of your immediate postpartum, to serve up nourishment, warming practices to aid in your healing, or perform closing ceremonies in honor of you and your magnificence. I would not be offering INNATE ‘Postpartum Planning for the 4th Trimester’ classes starting up this Spring/Summer.

📖 Some reading on this gorgeous Spring day in New Hampshire with 📖
‘7 Times a Woman; Ancient Wisdom on Health & Beauty for Every Stage of Your Life’ while my daughters play outside.

📖 This book is one of the several recommended books that I read from INNATE Traditions Postpartum Certification Training that I had the opportunity to take in 2019 and is such a potent wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend it!

📖 Currently reading the section about and again.

🌹 When I first was introduced into the postpartum period, I was 23 years old. It was midwinter near Boston and my dad brought me a huge bowl of cut up fruit from Whole Foods. I had very few visitors and just hibernated with my newborn baby. At two weeks old, I brought my newborn baby to babysrus for his announcement photos 😂 (my my, how times have changed).

🌹 During my time as a professorial birth doula with I would visit my birth clients for *only* one postpartum visit, bringing bone broth, an herbal infusion, and a warm meal. I knew it wasn’t enough and wanted to do more.

🌹Throughout my second pregnancy, 10 years after my first, I read and devoured .ann.johnson 📕’The Fourth Trimester’ as well as listened to her ‘sex birth trauma’ podcast, listened to podcast and took a class with .sage on postpartum foods. Near the end of my pregnancy, I began taking INNATE POSTPARTUM CARE CERTIFICATION TRAINING (2019). In 2020, I completed the certification process and am working as an INNATE TRADITIONs POSTPARTUM CARE PRACTITIONER.

🌹Needless to say, I did my homework and knew not only how, but WHY a properly supported immediate POSTPARTUM period is crucial, for short term and long term health of Mother and baby and that of the wider community.

🌹 My second and most recently, my third immediate postpartum period in 2021, have been incredible opportunities of growing, healing, opening, community building and truly embodying what, I believe, to be the necessary components of a wholly supported immediate postpartum period.

🌹 So here I am, forever in the postpartum period and ready to support you in yours. This is me showing up knowing that we only know what we know, and until we know better we can’t do better. I know better. I feel with my whole being, that a properly supported Mother makes for a healthy community.

As our yoni stool design has improved a bit over the last couple of years, as have the chosen wood, we are proud to only ever have used food grade cutting board mineral oil to coat our handmade CARE-N-STEAM Yoni Steam Stools.

🌹”Low DHA in the brain and central nervous system directly contributes to both baby brain and postnatal anxiety. Basically, the more omega-3s you have in your diet, the better you will feel.” 📖 ‘The Postnatal Depletion Cure’

🌹The most important essential fatty acids are omega-3‘s and omega-6’s. Essential fatty acids are called essential because our bodies cannot make them. We get them from food.

🌹Foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids are the foods that will help sustain/rebuild back mothers stores as her body continues to give the omega-3 fatty acid DHA from her own body to her growing baby. 🧠

🌹 Omega-3 rich fish are cold water fatty fish like salmon, sole, crab, haddock, anchovy, tilapia, cod and the sardines and herring pictured here. The mineral selenium inside these cold water fish counteracts the heavy metals in the fish, unless Mother has mercury fillings, then no fish while pregnant or breast-feeding.

🌹Herring, kippers, and sardines in water are the omega-3 rich fish that I serve up on my postpartum menu.

🌹 A well nourished Mother makes for a well nourished baby. By ingesting enough bioavailable forms of omega-3 fatty acids, Mothers can help the healthy development of their babies brain, eyes, and nervous systems throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.

🌹”Babies brains are built in utero and through breastmilk. The material that is used to build a baby’s brain is siphoned off of the Mothers brain and her omega-3 fatty acids in the form of DHA and EPA. If we do not replace that which we loose from our bodies, from growing humans through our body, we suffer both short and long as women. So in the short term lack of omega-3 for a postpartum mother, for example, manifests as depression in the postpartum, along with inflammation and achy, sore joints. In the long term, insufficient omega-3‘s manifest as cognitive decline, lowered mental aptitude, diseases of inflammation such as cancer, dementia, Alzheimers. These are common but they are not normal. These are the results of the modern day deficiencies that we have.” on Motherfoods

🌹 Omega-3 rich foods are cold water fatty fish like salmon, sole, crab, haddock, perch, anchovy, tilapia, cod, sardines, herring. (The mineral selenium inside these cold water fish counteracts the heavy metals in the fish unless Mother has mercury fillings, then no fish while pregnant or breast-feeding.)

🌹 These are the cold water fish that are high in omega 3s offered on my postpartum menu; to restore and support your miraculous whole body and your growing baby, now and into the future.

🌹Did you know that’s it’s considered ‘within normal limits’ by Allopathic medicine, that normal patterns of bowel elimination resume by 8 to 14 days after birth? (Foundations of Maternal-Newborn and Womens Health Nursing, Chaoter 17).

🌹Imagine your first postpartum poo to be a lot sooner and easier than you’d thought?

🌹Mothers gastrointestinal systems are designed perfectly as they change throughout pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum.

🌹The foods that I serve you are meant to support your body as its physiological changes take place after pregnancy. These foods are based off of all of the physiological changes occurring in your body. The foods after birth I make to support you properly are:

🍲 warm in temperature
🍲 warming in nature
🍲 easy to digest
🍲 aid in digestion
🍲 build blood
🍲 assist lactation
🍲 support Mothers vital life energy after birth
