Our visits to Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame were wonderful. My favorite part inside Notre Dame was the little blue and gold detail on the ceiling of the blessed mother and child. It was so small compared to everything around it but so beautiful.

Loved visiting the Paris museums... Monet's waterlilies and the Tuileries Garden at the Musee de l’Orangerie and the iconic former train station Musee d'Orsay.

Some of the sights and smells of Paris...

I tried duck at my daughter's insistence and the sauce was wonderful (I still prefer steak) 😏

Our first night was excellent Thai food on a beautiful evening 🍜

We walked through the cobblestone streets of Montmartre to sacre couer (pics of that to come!) ⚜️

We had a cute neighborhood fruit stand and bakery behind it where people stood in long lines daily for their croissants πŸ₯

Soaking up all of the beauty of Paris!

We visited the Eiffel Tower, saw the sun setting over the Seine, tried escargot for the first time... and even found ourselves in a celebration in the streets for Saint Germaine Paris winning the European Premier Cup in soccer!

It's been a whirlwind in the best way and we've been enjoying it to the fullest. πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

Yes... I'm in Paris right now! (Pics coming soon.)

I am deeply grateful for this experience, and for the reminder that life is genuinely meant to include joy, celebration, and the willingness to let our spirit lead the way.

That doesn't require a passport. It can happen on your front porch just as easily as it can happen 3,000 miles from home.

But when the call comes, I hope you answer it. πŸ’›

Our reality begins with our beliefs and expectations.

When we expect failure, difficulties with others, rejection, not having enough money, never getting ahead, or never finding what truly fulfills us, things tend to go exactly as expected.

Here is the good news: we have the power to change our beliefs and expectations simply because we want to. There is no worthiness involved.

It is simply a matter of noticing the negative expectations, and the beliefs that originally helped create them long ago, (usually from well-meaning people), and then creating and deciding on new ones.

You do not have to earn a different perspective. You just have to be willing to choose one.

We tend to be really good at making things harder than they need to be.

- We add layers of analysis to decisions that actually have a pretty clear answer.

- We revisit conversations that are already over.

- We turn a simple question into an elaborate production, and somewhere in all of that, we lose sight of what we were actually trying to figure out.

Thoreau was not talking about decluttering a closet. He was talking about a way of moving through life. About the discipline of asking, again and again:

"What actually matters here?" And then having the courage to let the rest go.

The big picture rarely gets complicated on its own. We do that. What is one thing you could you could let go of right now to decrease your mental burden?

In this week's article we do a deep dive into the neurobiology of dopamine and ADHD, so you know exactly how to feed your brain in ways that feel good, build you up, and actually last.

Whether you're navigating ADHD yourself, want to have a better understanding of a partner, child, employees or co-workers, or simply want to learn more about dopamine and how we can use it in healthy ways, this one is for you.

Let's talk about dopamine for a second. I think you'll find this helpful, especially if you are navigating ADHD.

Your brain is constantly scanning for stimulation. It's not a lack of discipline, it's that your dopamine pathways need more input to feel regulated.

Scrolling, sugar, and chaos can scratch that itch fast. But they tend to leave you chasing more rather than feeling satisfied.

The things that actually fill the tank? They're usually simpler than we think.

A walk outside. A song that moves you. Finishing one small thing on your list. Making something with your hands. Laughing with someone you love.

None of it requires a major life overhaul. Just a little more intention about where you're getting your hits.

Which brings me to today's question:

πŸ‘‰ What is one healthy "dopamine hit" you actually enjoy doing? (Think of the little things that feel rewarding.)

Drop it in the comments.

πŸ‘‰ And, I invite you to reflect: what might change for you if you just did that 10% more than an unhealthy one?

If you are navigating ADHD, your relationship with food may have far less to do with self-control than you think, and far more to do with how your brain is actually wired. This is what the research shows, and it matters.
