Congratulations to CA alum Rahn Dorsey ’89, co-founder of the new Jazz Urbane Cafe, which opened this summer in Nubian Square in Roxbury! Head of School Henry D. Fairfax recently joined Rahn’s classmate, alum Jamie Kahn ’89, for an evening of music, food, and community at the entertainment venue. We're proud to see our alum community shaping Boston's vibrant arts and cultural landscape.

Concord Academy Science Department Head Will Tucker presented his research at the 29th Biennial Conference on Chemical Education, the world's largest gathering of chemistry educators. His talk, Development and Implementation of a High School Course-Based Research Experience – Aluminum and Copper(II) Chloride, explored the development of a laboratory curriculum that more closely mirrors real research. His poster, Hylology and Chemistry: Reframing the Narrative of Studying Matter to Include Everyone, explores ways to broaden how chemistry is taught by recognizing diverse knowledge traditions and making the field more inclusive. We're proud to see Will contributing to important conversations that are shaping the future of chemistry education.

This year, CA students created a sitcom from scratch. In a new fall class, the Sitcom Project: Writing and Acting for Television, film teacher Justin Bull P’25 ’28 and theater teacher Shelley Bolman P’27 guided students through the process of writing episodic stories. This winter and spring, many of those scripts came to fruition on screen, with students operating cameras and sound equipment as well as acting and directing in front of a live studio audience.
