Mill Creek Middle School 7th grade Choir's annual performance at the Van Andel, singing "O Canada" and "The Star Spangled Banner". 8,700 people in attendance!

7th GRADE CHOIR...What a crazy week! As it happens, the Delta Plex arena's power has also been knocked out and doesn't look like it will be restored in time for tonights game. They will be rescheduling the game so if you would like, the choir is more than welcome to sing at that game instead. I don't have an official date for the make up game, but I will let you know when I find out. I will refund any $$.

Please help us out! Our goal is to raise $3000 for a portable sound system and general operating costs at Mill Creek Middle School. We've been with this fundraising company, Century Resources, for four years with great success.

I am so excited to share this with you!!! This past summer I took part in a Virtual Choir produced and directed by Eric Whitacre (HUGE Choral Music Composer!!!!!!). This morning was the world premiere of the piece "Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of our Universe", which is a collaborative effort between Mr. Whitacre, NASA, and the Hubble Space Telescope. The Virtual Choir comes in around the 20 min. mark. Although I haven’t found my image yet among the masses, I am indeed in there. If you really want a good time and see my head literally explode from the sheer excitement, skip ahead to the credits at 26:30 (My name is in Column #2, #27 from the start of the “D” names!!!!!!!!!).

Music a la Mode 2018 at Mill Creek Middle School. A great event to raise money for the choirs.

Each performer will get in free and will receive one complimentary ticket for any family member or friend.

November is right around the corner and the 8th grade Choir from Mill Creek Middle School will be heading down to the Griffin’s School Day Game. Here are some of the details.

GAME TIME: 11:00 am (we will need to leave MC at 9:15am)
COST: Singers $11.00 (purchase thru Mrs. Doehring DUE NOV. 1ST), Parents & Guests $10 Upper Bowl, $14 Lower Bowl (purchase online)
WHY: Connecting with Community
WEAR: Jeans (NO HOLES), I will provide the shirt.

Please respond with your permission for your child to attend. This is not a graded event and it’s not mandatory however, all members of the Choir (who are in good academic standing) are encouraged to perform.
