As I’ve been laying in bed these past four days with the flu, feeling overwhelmed by life and a to-do list that just keeps growing, I’ve been reminded again of the gift I have in Barak.
This season has stretched us in every direction — opening City BBQ & Grind, carrying the weight of vision, business, ministry, family, community, finances, and all the unknowns that come with building something from the ground up. There have been moments when money didn’t come through when we thought it would… and then somehow, right on time, God provided. There have been long days, hard conversations, big decisions, and then sickness on top of it all.
But Barak never quits.
He walks in with perspective when I’m overwhelmed. He leads with wisdom, love, and challenge. He serves. He gives. He speaks truth when the lies get loud. He keeps believing. He keeps showing up. And somehow, he still chooses to think the best of people.
It’s overwhelming in the best way to think about how good God has been to me through this man.
My husband. My partner in life and business. My doggy daddy. My ride or die.
I’m beyond blessed to love you and build with you. ❤️
and my people! His birthday is Wednesday. Please show him all the love and encouragement.
