A message from your Principal:

As a principal, we go into solution mode. When the COVID-19 hit us on March 16th, I never would imagine that would be the last time I had my students in our hallways and classrooms.

Teaching, interacting, interventions, and counseling students changed. Part of our everyday experience became motivating students not to give up. Daily encouraging words. Zoom conferences that required tough talks about short sight versus delayed gratification.

One thing we wanted to maintain was the opportunity to celebrate these resilient and tenacious scholars. Instead of informal and quick drive by graduations, my team and I quickly voted to spend an entire day going to EVERY SINGLE GRADUATE'S house to personally celebrate them AND their families.

The COVID has changed so much of our everyday life, but we were determined to make sure that it impact one of the biggest moments for our (big) babies.

Congratulations to every SINGLE graduate and their familiy!

A message from your Dean:

Graduating high school isn’t as easy as people say it is, not for many of us at least. Not because we aren’t smart enough, not because we don’t try hard enough, but because of circumstances out of our control.

This March, in the middle of the Spring semester, the final semester for seniors, the world was turned upside down and was hit with a special set of circumstances. Circumstances that would rob our seniors (and their families) of the rewards and celebrations that usually come as a payoff for all your 12(+) years.

Graduates, you may have lost your senior trip, grad nite, prom, graduation (as we’ve known it), etc. But at the end, I hope you leave knowing two things; the diploma the the ultimate payoff AND your graduation was by far the best graduation I have ever been a part of. You weren’t robbed. You were spoiled...and we love spoiling you guys

The CBA Compton family will forever remember the memory of a hard working and amazing athlete who was the epitome of preseverance. Although we are saddened by the sudden loss of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant and seven others yesterday morning, we want to also honor his legacy.

For the entire week, we are allowing students to wear Kobe jerseys. Please join us in a celebration of an incredible life
