Exciting news! Compton College has officially launched its first-ever Fire Academy. (Course number: 70736 FTEC 115)

Students who have completed the following courses AND have earned an EMT license are eligible to enroll in Compton College’s Fire Academy:
• FTEC 101 (Fire Protection Organization)
• FTEC 105 (Fire Behavior and Combustion)

Our inaugural academy meets:
🔥 Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.
🔥 Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:20 p.m.

Three Fire Technology courses are offered during the Fall 2026 semester. All classes begin August 22, 2026, with options running either 8 weeks or the full 16-week semester.

We’re excited to welcome the next generation of firefighters who are committed to serving the Compton community and beyond. If you’re ready to answer the call, now is the time to join us!
