OURducation™ provides learning materials for children that celebrates the diversity, beauty, history, and culture of the African Diaspora.

Founded by a middle school history teacher who desired to see a fresh new take on learning materials for children that celebrates Black history, culture and diversity. Representation matters and being absent from your education or shown in a negative light has negative psychological impacts on young people. Think of OURducation™ as an "education FUBU" brand dedicated to making sure children can see themselves in their learning materials and have access to a more inclusive & diverse curriculum.

Pride in one's self and one's cultural is so important for OUR children. In addition to positive affirmations (check out the 🔥 previous post) here are 6 tips to help you promote a child's cultural pride. As a parent, educator, or any person in the life of a child take the necessary steps to have this positive impact!

It’s official!! OUR trademark is ®️REGISTERED! Although this isn’t my first it holds a special place in my heart 🧡.

I’ve been hesitant to execute ideas to build a brand then have issues with ownership or name changes later on. I was even told by a professional in the intellectual property field that my brand name would likely be difficult to register. I decided to file an application anyway, by myself and looky here! Difficult where? 💅🏾 (I didn’t get any office actions to make corrections either 😅) 🎶 When Jesus says yes nobody can say no 🎶

On this I want to take a moment and thank all of the children who helped bring the vision of the ABC Me Flashcards to life. I also want to thank the parents of those children for trusting me to represent US the right way and allowing their children to participate. This is the first of many and it although it was introduced under a different brand it will be known everywhere as OURs.
