Back-to-school season is about more than getting ready for the classroom. It’s also about helping students see what’s possible beyond it. ✈️📚

Fly Compton Foundation had the opportunity to join the Private School Villages Back-to-School Event, where students and families were introduced to different programs, schools, colleges, and resources available to support their future.

We were excited to bring what Fly Compton offers directly to so many students and parents, share more about aviation and STEM pathways, and connect families with opportunities they may not have known were available.

Every conversation is another chance to expose, educate, and elevate the next generation. 💙

If you embody The Best of Both Worlds, we want you at the Compton Air & Space Fair on October 24th. ✈️🚀

This year’s theme is all about showing young people that they do not have to choose just one path. You can be an athlete and an aviator, an artist and an astronaut, a designer and an engineer.

We’re looking for aviation and aerospace professionals whose stories reflect that same idea. People who have built careers while bringing other passions, skills, and identities with them.

Your presence can help students see that there is more than one way to belong in this industry and more than one way to build a future in it.

Come share your story, connect with the next generation, and help us bring The Best of Both Worlds to life. 💙

Remember the Girls Who Took Over the Sky during our 2025 Summer Solo Camp?

Here’s Nyla Goodjoin.

Since completing her solo, Nyla has continued moving forward both in aviation and beyond. She recently started her first position at a law firm while continuing work connected to a Senate bill she helped develop focused on sealing records for misdemeanor crimes.

And she’s still flying.

Nyla remains on track toward earning her Private Pilot License and is currently preparing for her FAA written exam. Along the way, she continues volunteering, giving back to her community, and building toward what comes next.

From her first solo to aviation, public service, and professional growth, Nyla continues to show just how many paths one young person can pursue when given the opportunity to take flight.
