Please join us in welcoming our new Graduate Assistant of Facility Operations and Member Services, Emily Dick!
Emily supports the Assistant Director of Facility Operations and Aquatics with the oversight of approximately 60 operations employees. Responsibilities include program and staff supervision through hiring, training and evaluation, budget preparation and management, in-service training and facility inspections, equipment management, special event programming, membership sales, program promotions, risk management and policy development. The role provides opportunities for leadership development, program management and overall hands-on experience in facility and staff management.
Emily was born and raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is now getting her Master of Science in Nutrition. She has worked in Campus Recreation all of undergrad in a variety of positions: starting as a Marketing Assistant then Head Lifeguard, and then moved on as Outdoor Adventure Staff and a Building Supervisor. This October she will have worked with Campus Recreation for 4 years. She is super excited to be working in a position where she can support the staff she has worked with for many years now! She loves staying active however she can, taking care of her plants, baking and playing board games with friends.
