Kearney Middle School Kearney Middle School is a public middle school serving grades 7 & 8 in Commerce City, CO.

Established in 1953, Kearney Middle School has been a cornerstone of the Adams 14 School District for nearly 70 years. Located in the historic community of Commerce City, Colorado, KMS annually serves nearly 800 students in grades 6-8. Kearney Middle School offers a comprehensive education that meets the unique needs of Adams 14 students. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where students are empowered to reach their full potential. In addition to academic programs, KMS boasts an array of extracurricular activities such as athletics, music, and clubs, which fosters social development and personal growth.

Bobcats, don't miss this! Join Adams 14 Board of Education Vice President, Dr. Janet Estrada, for a community event focused on district progress, school improvements and board initiatives. The event will take place at Alsup Elementary School on Monday, August 4th at 5:30 PM. Dinner and drinks will be provided and childcare will be available. Can't make it in person? Yesterday, students from KMS paid a special visit to Central Elementary School to deliver some *very special* plushes to kindergartners.

This project is a result of a collaboration between Central and KMS. Kindergartners designed their own characters that they imagined "finding" on their way to school. Students from Mr. Finamore's Advanced Art class brought them to life as 3D plush sculptures, ensuring that the final product remain as true as possible to the original design.

Now in its second year, this amazing partnership between Mr. Finamore and Central’s art teacher, Ms. Ciccone, continues to build community between our students, big and small!

Last night, Adams 14 hosted its annual District Art Show and over 25 Kearney artists had work in the exhibition. The award for Best in Show went to 7th grader Melanie Esparza De-Luna for her colored pencil rendering of gummy bears! Congratulations, Melanie!
