If I depart before words can be spoken,
before goodbyes find their way to your lips,
please believe this—
it was not a choice made in haste or silence.
Another call reached me,
and when it came, my soul answered.

If my leaving felt sudden,
like a door closing without warning,
know that the journey did not end there.
I stepped into a place where pain loosens its hold,
where suffering no longer follows me,
where I am lighter than I have ever been.

I still exist—
only the shape of me has changed.
When you notice the space I once filled,
don’t stop at the emptiness.
Look a little deeper,
listen a little longer.

You’ll find me in the quiet moments,
in the warmth that settles around your heart,

VOTE ‘24
"There are places in the world where people risk their lives to go to the polls. Here in the US, 50% of eligible voters can’t be bothered. There are frequent local elections wherever you are, but these big national elections happen every two years.

We should make it as easy and convenient as possible to cast our votes. It is the life blood of any democracy and our first duty as citizens. But there are people among us working hard to find ways to restrict voter participation, to keep people away from the polls. They should be ashamed of themselves.

This is a really important election - they all are, but this one especially so with so much at stake. Can you feel it, America? Can you feel what it is we need to do? How important it is right now? I sure do.

It’s not hard for me because I don’t have to change my mind. It’s up to you who do have to shift your loyalties, search your heart and go against your friends and family to make the right choice. To those of you who can do that, I take off my hat and offer my deepest gratitude. It’s up to you to make the difference, true patriots.

There’s still time to get out and register so you can participate by casting your vote. Let’s make it happen. If you love your country, register and vote."
