What’s this? LAZ Parking?? 🤔

Last weekend I went to Boston for the weekend with the Model UN club for this year’s conference. I learned two things. Model UN is awesome and this parking company thinks they can steal/use my nickname. I’m sorry, but they’re just not killin it like I am as would say 😉 😂.

Here’s to coach bus rides, every meal at , copious amounts of , a 3.5 mile walking tour of the Back Bay area of Boston, and school domination at the conference.

This week in was all about the initial push of and the cause/effects of the Mexican-American War. We’re firmly on the Road to the Civil War this week. In addition, this week was all about expanding options for the Etsy shop. Check out the new options available!

Ok, so maybe I am having a little too much fun now with these t-shirts. However, big stick energy is my FAVORITE! 😂😂 Teddy Roosevelt is one of my favorite presidents, so I had to make a t-shirt for him ASAP.

A friend of mine always said “Dare to dream…”

If this goes nowhere, then I’ll chalk it up to just some design fun. So, I recently launched an Etsy shop called BigAppleSS. I’ve always wanted to put some of the funny history puns and ideas onto a mug or shirt and I finally got around to doing it! This is just the first round of ideas. More to come!

When that internet goes down…

We bring it back old school style. 😂- walked into the internet being down at work today, so what is a teacher going to do?? Play games, right??? No way!!! I got that pen and pad out and started writing out all of my notes for class - specifically . I had flashbacks to when I was in school and teachers would write out all of the notes on the chalkboard 😂.
•
Least to say the students were not entirely thrilled. However, you know what happened??? The students were less distracted and more keyed into the lesson topic. Now, I’m not advocating against technology at all. In fact, I’m a major proponent of technology in the classroom, but it was a welcomed moment to see the students completely focused on the topic in class and driving a discussion on the different points of view surrounding the federalist papers.
•
Chalk it up to a day in the life of a teacher… 😂. Follow for more content focused on teaching, some laughs, and fun/engaging activities for history classes.
