"Today is my daughter Tobi’s birthday. This is a tough day for me, as a mom, remembering the day she was born when she is no longer here. But I have found that though her physical body is not here, her love lives on, teaching me that what we say and do for children lasts far beyond the moment.

The words you share, the patience you show, the love you give on both the brightest and the hardest days, all this shapes a child’s heart forever. A gentle word, a caring touch, a simple “I believe in you,” these become memories a child carries for life.

So please, love your children fully, especially when it’s hard. Speak kindness, show patience, let them know they matter. The love you give fills your heart and theirs, and those sweet memories live on always. Tell the children in your life you love them, today and every day.

“The strategy for today is to something you may know but this is sometimes difficult to do. It’s to “Be Consistent.” Children lose their respect for adults who say something and do not follow through. For example, at home a parent may say, “Eat all your vegetables or you won’t get dessert.” The child plays with the vegetables moving them around, and then still wants dessert. The parent gives in and gives the child dessert. The child inadvertently learns that “I don’t have to do something and I can still have what I want. That’s why it’s so important for you to think through what you are going to say, and then when you say it, follow through.

Children learn that when you say something, you mean it. After a while, they won’t pull any shenanigans with you because they know you mean what you say.

This is a big month for me! I’ve been providing childcare to Comfort and surrounding communities for 15 years!!! I started out as a nanny caring for children in their homes, then became registered with the state of Texas and now licensed since 2018. I have had the privilege to care for so many kids throughout the years and in September I will be blessed to welcome my very own little girl. 🩷

A little info about our waitlist
🖍️Due to Child Care Regulation we can have up to 12 children, but it depends on the ages and we have to follow a ratio chart. The more infants we have, the fewer children we can have total.
🖍️We update the waitlist by text message approximately every 3 months, but please feel free to reach out in between!
🖍️If we text to see if you’d like to remain on the waitlist, but don’t get a response in 24 hours, we will remove you from the list so we don’t bug you again.
🖍️If a family that is currently enrolled is expecting, they will automatically be at the top of the waitlist.
🖍️If you ask what number you are on the waitlist, please keep in mind that it’s just based on the order in which you contact us (with the exception of currently enrolled families who are automatically at the top). Openings depend on the age of the child and the ratio chart we have to follow from CCR.
🖍️Failure to respond to waitlist updates or failure to show up to meetings without notice may result in permanent bar from waiting list.

Finished potty training 3 preschoolers this month and today we were blessed with beautiful weather just in time for our annual Easter egg hunt. 🐣 Spring is going well so far!

“One of the primary needs of children is love. I believe that just saying, "I love you," is not enough. Giving children gifts to show love is not enough. Instead, love is linked to "time." It's about setting aside time to be with them, to enjoy them, to listen to what they have to say. That never changes no matter how old they are.

I wish all parents knew this. Quality time with children gets lost if the TV is on, because who can resist watching it every now and then or hearing what’s being said. It's not about being together and having cellphones taking up your attention and their attention too.

Instead, it's in special one-on-one time together with no interruptions. In the classroom, it’s taking time out to spend some special time one-to-one with the child that needs you. All day in so many ways, you can share love even when with a large group. It's giving that special smile, acknowledging an accomplishment, everyone laughing together and bonding.

Love is a precious gift to children, and your time is the vehicle for giving that gift.
