FFA Chapter Officers Gather for Leadership Training to "Go Forth and Conquer"
Sponsored by Public Service Company

Officers of the Comanche FFA chapter participated in the 2026 Oklahoma FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training (C**T) Conference on September 1 at the Embassy Suites in Norman, Oklahoma.

The eight state FFA officers planned and conducted this year's conference, which was centered around the theme, "Go Forth and Conquer." The training focused on conflict resolution and the importance of having crucial conversations, encouraging officers to communicate effectively, work through challenges, and lead their chapters with confidence. Elected officers from each of the 68 high school FFA chapters in the central area attended the conference.

Scott Mathie served as the keynote speaker for the conference. Mathie is a nationally recognized leadership speaker, educator, and Managing Director of the TEAMTRI Training Agency. An expert in applied performance psychology, he is known for delivering high-energy, interactive leadership experiences that challenge audiences to lead with enthusiasm, consistency, and purpose.

"C**T Conference is one of my favorite events of the year because it allows the State Officer Team to invest in every chapter officer team across Oklahoma," said Coy Davidson, Oklahoma FFA State President. "This year's workshop focuses on conflict and the importance of having
crucial conversations. While conflict is inevitable on any team, it does not have to be destructive.
By equipping officers with the tools to communicate effectively, work through challenges, and turn difficult moments into opportunities for growth, we hope they will return to their chapters ready to build stronger teams and lead with confidence."

Attending Officers were:
President- Katharine Cross
Vice President- Harli Young
Reporter- Jaci Sides
Treasurer- Paxton Jones
Sentinel- Dylan Combs
Advisors- James & Shelbi Morgan
