Mr. King’s 4th grade math & science classes took learning to the “Construction Site” today while applying academic skills through a full hands-on experience!
During their math lesson, students applied their understanding of area and perimeter to real-world situations while designing their dream house and using mathematical reasoning to determine the area of their design.
Continuing on with their science lesson, our students deepened their understanding of potential and kinetic energy by constructing and testing ramps. This fun activity taught them important skills such as problem-solving, reasoning, collaboration, observation, and evidence-based thinking.
What a fun and exciting day for our 4th grade classes!

We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Specialty Contractors, Inc. for donating the hard hats and safety vests!!

Our 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams coordinated to wear pink as a fun team-building activity while also recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

It was a great reminder that we are stronger when we support one another, stand together, and play as a team. 💕

We need volunteers!

Each grade needs to cover 12 volunteer spots, only 30 minutes each. Please make an effort to sign up - we will begin closing booths if spots are not covered! We appreciate your help!

The dunk tank is always one of our biggest hits of the carnival and we've got a great lineup of teachers this year! We've got two open spots left though! Who do you want to dunk?!

🍂 We’ve fallen into fall… now it’s time to fall into COUNT DAY!
Don’t let the cooler temps keep you away—we’re counting on YOU! 😉

Please make sure your student is at school Tuesday, September 22.

What is Count Day?
September 20 (or the next day school is in session), is the official Count Day for the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE). KSDE uses specific enrollment and attendance requirements established by Kansas law to determine which students are included in the district’s official count for school funding.

This means Count Day is not simply a headcount of students who are physically sitting in classrooms that day. A student who is appropriately enrolled but absent due to illness or another valid reason is not automatically excluded from the district’s enrollment count.

The official count helps determine school funding for districts across Kansas, which supports the programs and opportunities we provide for our students. This is the day we take an official count of students attending Renwick USD 267. This enrollment count helps determine funding and supports the programs and opportunities we provide for our students.

🍁 Be here. Be counted.
❤️ Every student matters. Every student counts!
