❤️ 💙 FINAL UPDATE 💙 ❤️
To every parent, grandparent, alumni, parishioner, community member, friend, and donor who stood beside us—thank you. Your generosity, love, encouragement, and prayers over the last two weeks have lifted us more than you’ll ever know.

Because of you, we raised nearly $150,000 in pledges in just a few days. That is nothing short of incredible. Colusa County showed up—and proved that when it comes to faith, family, and community, we never back down from a challenge.

You gave us hope. You gave us momentum. And you proved the Diocese was wrong when they gave up on this school and this community.

It’s with heavy hearts that we now share: despite all we accomplished, we are unable to move forward with reopening Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.

Over the weekend, it became clear that a few families needed to make decisions that offered their children the stability and certainty they deserve. We fully support and respect those choices. As a result of these natural shifts, our projected enrollment dropped to a level that made our revised budget and long-term plan no longer viable. It was a painful realization, but one rooted in love…parents doing what is best for their children.

This morning, we submitted a final letter to the North State Board for Catholic Education, and shortly after, received confirmation from the Catholic Diocese of Sacramento that OLL will remain closed.

We fought hard. We did what many said couldn’t be done. And even though the outcome wasn’t what we prayed for, this was not a failure—because Colusa County showed what’s possible when a community comes together for something it believes in.

Please continue to keep our students, teachers, and staff in your prayers. The bonds we’ve built won’t be undone by a closure. They’ll live on in the friendships formed, the lessons shared, and the unwavering love we’ve shown throughout this fight.

The spirit of OLL lives on in each of us—and we will carry it forward together.

💙❤️ FINAL PUSH TO SAVE OLL ❤️💙

In just a few short days, this incredible community has come together and pledged over $100,000 to help keep the doors of Our Lady of Lourdes School, Colusa California open.

Thanks to the generosity and backing of this community, we are now just $45,000 away from our $150,000 goal — with only one day left.

This is it.
The Board meets tomorrow morning, July 14th, to make their decision.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has helped us get this far. The outpouring of support has been nothing short of amazing, and we continue to pray that together, we can make this happen.

✨ UPDATE & CALL FOR SUPPORT ✨

Yesterday, we met with the North State Board and presented a strong strategic plan to grow enrollment and ensure the long-term sustainability of Our Lady of Lourdes School, Colusa California. The Board was truly impressed by the hard work and dedication behind what we’ve built together. 🙌
Now, it all comes down to the final piece: funding. We’re on a tight timeline — the Board will meet again this coming Monday morning to make their final decision.

We’ve already secured about $90,000 in pledges, but we still need to raise $60,000 more to give our school the chance it deserves. ❤️💙

📣 IMPORTANT UPDATE 📣

Good morning, parents, friends, and supporters —

We have an important update to share with you all. Today, we are meeting with the Sacramento Diocese North State Board of Catholic Education — this is the meeting that will essentially determine whether or not we can continue this fight to save Our Lady of Lourdes School, Colusa California.

While the final decision rests with the Bishop, he will rely heavily on the recommendation that comes out of this meeting.

We’re asking each of you to please pray — and to ask your family, friends, and loved ones to pray — that our message is heard, our work is respected, and that we receive the recommendation we need to keep pushing forward for OLL’s future.

We have come so far together. Let’s keep the faith strong, surround this meeting in prayer and hope, and show that the OLL community — and all of Colusa County — never gives up.

WOW… JUST WOW!

To everyone who showed up, volunteered, and supported our Fireworks Booth, THANK YOU for showing up in such a big way for our kiddos. Your love and dedication mean everything to us!

While things may seem quiet on the outside, please know we are very much still hard at work behind the scenes. We’re excited to share that we met with the parish yesterday and received their blessing to move forward! 🙌

We’re now one step closer to the reopening of Our Lady of Lourdes School, Colusa California, as we prepare to meet with the North State Board next. Please keep the prayers coming and stay hopeful, we are getting there! 💪🙏

We are so grateful that our story is being heard. ❤️💙✨

A group of dedicated parents met last night and we remain hopeful. We have ideas, we are charting a path forward, and we have important meetings happening today that we pray will help us build a real solution.
