Colusa High School Sober Grad Night

Many community businesses and families donated to the class of 2020 grad night, which was cancelled as our community faced a world wide pandemic.
2 1/2 years later, the class of 2020 has selflessly given back to their high school and community by allocating all of their grad night money to a school mural.
The mural represents what it means to be “RedHawk Proud” and will be a beautiful visual for our community for years to come.
We would like to thank every business and family that donated to the class of 2020 grad night. In addition we would like to thank the McCarty family for the Granzellas hotel accommodations for the painters and Mark and Sandy Ottenwalter for the use of the lift.
This is our gift to you!!

Some very generous members of our community provided these signs for our seniors. The signs will be available for pickup on Saturday between 11:00-2:00. ❤️

Like Cyndi Simmons said earlier “It’s heartbreaking for sure. My job as a high school activities director is to plan Homecoming, proms, graduation and end-of-the-year activities for seniors. Many teachers are still able to do online lessons and continue teaching their students. I’ve been thinking all day what lesson can I give to my leadership students,how can I help my seniors handle an abrupt halt to their last few months as a high school student. I know this is long but read on... I won’t give up, their end of year celebrations are going to happen. Maybe not in May for their last Prom, maybe not in June for a walk across the stage in their cap and gown. But WE PARENTS can make it happen. We have all summer! We’ve raised a lot of money for our kiddos grad night. We can use that for a killer graduation/prom night combo. It’s not over I refuse to let it be... we will do something! And it will be the BEST NIGHT of their lives‼️”

We will be having a meeting tomorrow, Monday, February 24th at 5:30 in the CHS gym foyer. Please come and help us plan our next fundraisers for Sober Grad Night 2020.
