This Thanksgiving and holiday season, Phi Upsilon Omicron is celebrating one of our own, Dorcas Reilly, the Home Economist who created the iconic Green Bean Casserole 70 years ago. Her joyful belief that “food should be fun, food should be happy” continues to inspire tens of millions of kitchens all across the country every year.

Now, we invite you to join the celebration and help us raise $25,000 for future food innovators through the Green Bean Casserole for Good campaign, created in partnership with Celebrity Chef Chadwick Boyd.

Why This Matters

Proceeds from every shirt support the Phi Upsilon Omicron Educational Foundation's Bates-Stoklosa Family Legacy Fund – TRAILBLAZER Research Grant, funded by Phi U Lifetime Member Evelynne Bates Stoklosa (Mu Chapter), Dorcas Reilly’s niece. For the 2025-2027 inaugural grant period, preference will be given to student research areas representing culinary arts, food science, nutrition, and dietetics, ensuring Dorcas’s pioneering spirit continues to inspire new generations.
