That’s a wrap on the 3 week Figure Painting Intensive!

Students had 12 hours over 3 classes to paint the figure from life. Working through every step of the indirect painting process, from initial drawing, to oil transfer, to grisaille, to a finish!

Our Intro to Oil Painting class is designed for the absolute beginner to those looking to gain a deeper understanding of the medium and sharpen their preexisting skillset.

Last session, many students had never painted before - let alone with oils! In 4 weeks, we covered the basics of the medium and its properties, as well as the fundamentals of value, color and alla prima vs indirect painting principles. 🤝
