As construction concludes on 33rd Avenue, lane restrictions are in place as the east lane, driveways, and sidewalk work are being completed. Currently, the road is only two lanes, and there are no markings for left turns or distinction of driving lanes.

Out of an abundance of caution, the east parking lot and drop-off area at Lost Creek Elementary will be closed off until further notice. Parking and drop-offs will only be permitted on the west side of the school. We encourage you to find an alternate route other than 33rd Ave.

This will likely increase the amount of time it will take during drop-off and pick-up at Lost Creek Elementary.

August 11th: Open House from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
All K-4 students are invited.

August 12th: FIrst Day Kindergarten Students with Last Names Beginning A-K
8:00 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. Lunch will be served.

August 13th: FIrst Day Kindergarten Students with Last Names Beginning L-Z
8:00 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. Lunch will be served.

August 13th: Grades 1-4 will attend 8:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.
Early dismissal and no lunch will be served.

August 14th: Full Day Grades 1-4
8:00 a.m. - 3:25 p.m. Breakfast and Lunch will be served.
(No Kindergarten)

August 17th: Full Day K-4
8:00 a.m. - 3:25 p.m. Breakfast and Lunch will be served.

33rd Ave to Reopen on August 10th! Check out the post and story from the City of Columbus, Nebraska Government.

Just in time for a new school year to begin next week, one of north Columbus’ busiest travel corridors is preparing to reopen.

After spending most of the summer closed for a full reconstruction, 33rd Avenue between 30th and 38th streets will reopen Monday, Aug. 10, to two lanes of traffic. It will restore a key route for students, parents and commuters as crews complete the final stages of one of the City’s largest infrastructure projects of the season.
