May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month

As tick activity increases across Ohio, so does the risk of tick-borne disease.

Statewide, 1 in 5 adult blacklegged ticks carry the bacteria that cause Lyme disease.

Ohio State’s Buckeye Tick Test makes it easy to identify ticks and test for pathogens (disease-causing germs). Early awareness helps inform next steps.
