Yesterday, we celebrated an incredible woman whose dedication, compassion, and service have left a lasting impact on countless lives.
For the past 7 years, Cindy Harris has faithfully served as a counselor at McKellar Technology Center, providing guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support to students and staff alike. Throughout her remarkable 35-year counseling career, including 29 years with Columbus Municipal School District, Cindy has exemplified what it means to lead with both heart and purpose.
Cindy's greatest gift has always been her ability to make every child feel seen, valued, and loved. She has been a trusted advocate, a listening ear, and a source of comfort for students navigating both challenges and successes. Her kindness, patience, and genuine care have made a difference in the lives of countless young people.
Beyond her work with students, Cindy has been a pillar of strength and support for her coworkers. Her wisdom, encouragement, and servant's heart have helped shape the culture of our school and inspired those fortunate enough to work alongside her.
While Cindy's presence will be deeply missed, we are excited for her as she begins this new chapter of life. She looks forward to spending more time doing what she loves most—being "CiCi" to her two beautiful grandchildren and making precious memories with her husband and family.
Cindy, thank you for your years of faithful service, your immeasurable impact, and the love you have poured into our school community. Your legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those you have touched.
