Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 as the first greek letter fraternity for women by four pioneering sisters at Indiana's DePauw University. Since its founding, Theta has shaped the college experiences of hundreds of thousands of sisters at our 125 chapters across the United States and Canada.

" I chose theta because going through recruitment I looked up to each girl I met as they told me their amazing stories and ambitions. They really inspired me to want to be the best I can be and now as a member I can say that they still do that to this day and are the most amazing friends. I can also credit Kappa Alpha Theta for exposing me to CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, which lead me to go on to become their intern and get better myself while accomplishing those goals!" -Sara Wendel
