“Engaging all learners to achieve success.” CPS elementary schools provide a comprehensive program emphasizing the acquisition of reading and math skills.

The High Ability Learner (HAL) program provides critical and creative learning opportunities for qualifying students. Students in grades four and five participate in programming that fosters individual student interests and abilities.

Congratulations to Kristin Sky, 1st grade teacher at West Park Elementary School, on being named the 2026 New Educator of the Year!

The CPS Foundation, in partnership with OneNebraska Federal Credit Union, proudly announced this honor during the CPS Employee Celebration yesterday afternoon. This award recognizes outstanding new educators who are already making a meaningful impact through their passion, dedication, and commitment to students. Kristin’s work in the classroom is helping young Mustangs and Discoverers learn, grow, and thrive each day.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of another amazing school year! 🎉

Today’s end-of-year assembly was filled with so many special moments as we recognized our students and staff for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout the year.

Congratulations to our 4th grade students on their recognition as they prepare for their next adventure! We are so proud of each of you and all you have achieved. 👏

We also celebrated students receiving attendance awards, Presidential Awards, and other special recognitions for their outstanding efforts and achievements. Your commitment and perseverance truly shine!

A huge thank you to Mr. Anderson for leading a fun and memorable sing-a-long that brought smiles and energy to the entire assembly. 🎶

We would also like to extend heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Mrs. Lawrence on her retirement. Thank you for the years of care, dedication, and impact you have made on so many students and families. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter! ❤️
