Our Middle School is excited to announce its new Tribes System! Tribes, based off the tribes of Israel, will build multi-grade level connections of spiritual community, while they come together for small groups and chapel. Friendly competitions between the tribes will also take place throughout the year, all as they learn to work together, make new friends and build Christian community with one another.

Tribe group names are as follows:
Tribe of Asher
Tribe of Benjamin
Tribe of Joseph
Tribe of Judah
Tribe of Levi
Tribe of Zebulun

Later today our middle-schoolers will take part in their first activity as tribes and we look forward to sharing a recap! For now, check out this introductory reel from last week’s tribe sorting day.

At the Dublin Campus, Mrs. Meyer has been challenging students in STEM Lab to think more deeply about this year’s theme: “Devoted.”

Classes read Deuteronomy 6:4–9 together and explored God’s command to love Him with all our heart, soul, and strength and to keep His Word before us each day. Students were asked solve the problem: “How can you create a reminder to yourself to stay devoted to the Lord?”

Students put their creativity to work, designing their own reminders inspired by the passage:
Keychains — “when you walk along the road”
Headbands — “bind them on your foreheads”
Plaques — “write them on the doorframes”

What a meaningful way to immerse our students in the theme and remind them that being devoted to the Lord is something we carry with us every day!

Last week, third-graders at our Polaris Campus visited the Eco Lab where they measured and recorded temperature of the air and water, labeled biotic and abiotic elements, and sketched the location in their notebooks. They were especially excited to spot a camouflaged frog after studying its adaptation patterns 🐸.

Just the other day at our Clintonville Campus, we caught up with first-graders in the art class of Mrs. Heath as they worked on a colorful project in anticipation of International Dot Day on September 15th. Then we stopped by the lunch room to catch some smiles from the end of that period, before seeing Mr. English’s fourth-graders practicing their spelling words, as well as kindergartners finishing up their own art project in Mrs. Perry’s class.

This morning students at our Dublin Campus were visited by American Ninja Warrior champion and current competitor Daniel Gil! Known on the show as the “Kingdom Warrior,” Daniel shared about his journey to becoming the Season 12 Grand Champion and, most importantly, how his relationship with God has impacted every area of his life.

He concluded the program by praying over the students and teachers, before giving this final piece of advice…

Work hard.
Do your best.
Trust God with the rest.

Following severe rain storms that caused flooding and the current power outage at our high school campus, leadership at Worthington Christian Church agreed in prayer to host our students and teachers for classes beginning September 1st.

Countless hours of preparation by administration, teachers and staff members from our high school and Central Office resulted in a smooth transition back to in-person learning. As high-schoolers made their way onto the church grounds and inside, they were greeted with smiles and hugs from their teachers and other staff members, all of which had the vibes and excitement of a second "first day" of classes to open the year.

Superintendent Dr. Todd Marrah and High School Principal/Head of Upper School Brent Davis also addressed the students, to not only welcome them back to regular school, but also to express gratitude to Worthington Christian Church for hosting and the Lord for providing, as He always does for Tree of Life!
