🌱🌼 A beautiful new native garden is taking root at Montrose Elementary!

Thanks to a partnership between the Montrose PTO and Bexley’s Love Your Alley community group, students and volunteers recently helped install a native garden on campus. A special thank you goes to Emily Reiser, Montrose art teacher, and Ricarda Sarkar, business office secretary, for their leadership and hard work in bringing this project to life.

We're also grateful to our student garden helpers who rolled up their sleeves to help create a space that will support local wildlife and beautify our school community for years to come! 🌿

💙 As they prepared to take the next step in their educational journey, Bexley’s fifth graders left behind meaningful gifts that will benefit future students for years to come.

Students at Montrose Elementary gifted a microscope and film to support future learning and exploration, while students at Maryland Elementary donated an outdoor bench and sundial to enhance the school grounds. Maryland’s fifth graders also made a $200 donation to the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation in honor of one of their classmates. Thank you, fifth graders, for leaving a lasting legacy of kindness and generosity! 👏

🎶📚 When passion meets learning, great things can happen! For a recent research project, Bexley High School junior Elena Diez explored the impact of Ticketmaster and Live Nation's dominance in the ticket industry and how it affects concertgoers. As a music fan who has experienced the challenges of purchasing tickets firsthand, Elena chose a topic that mattered to her.

In a remarkable twist, while she was working on her essay, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from Live Nation and Ticketmaster, allowing a major antitrust lawsuit over ticket pricing to move forward in federal court.

Talk about studying a topic that's making headlines!
