Good morning everyone!
We wanted to take a moment to accounce that unfortunately, we will not be having a Christmas Tree Sale this year due to some complications sourcing trees.
Many thanks to all of you for your continued support of the OSU Forestry Forum! It is because of your support over the years that we can continue on as a club that both has fun and develops professionally.
Please stay tuned for next year's Christmas Tree sale. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday, the students from the Columbus Campus' Forestry Forum gathered with their Wildland Fire Management Lab class at the OSU Marion campus to learn the basics of working on a fire line. A prescribed burn was also performed to benefit a local prairie ecosystem. Looking good in the Nomex PPE, everyone!

Well this is certainly an interesting time, tonight the Forestry Forum should be on our way to Southern Illinois University to compete in the 68th Midwestern Foresters Conclave as we do every April. Sadly, that isn't possible and while we are sad that we can't be with our fellow foresters, we look forward to next year and seeing everyone at Missouri State University!
In the meantime, enjoy some of the highlights from last year's conclave at Purdue! Thank you for all of your continued support.

Our last senior is our fearless leader! Forestry Forum President Maxwell (or “Max” if you’re cool) will be heading to Tahoe National Forest in California to be a seasonal forestry technician with the American Conservation Experience. He’ll be doing timber sale prep until November. Afterward, he plans on coming back to Ohio to be a “good Midwestern Hardwood boy.” His words, not mine.
We will miss Max’s very lame memes, and his caring heart. 🧡😭

Our next soon-to-be graduate is Jennifer Prewitt (aka the person who has been behind the Forestry Forum Instagram these past few years and is currently typing this!) Jennifer has been the Forestry Forum Secretary for two years, and she’s going to miss sending the wildest emails to the members (and they will miss them too, I’m sure).
She plans on attending grad school to continue her research on Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs), but you can also find her doing standup comedy around Columbus.
Side note: do not let her near a chainsaw unless you want it broken

Hello from indoors! We want to highlight some of our amazing graduating seniors (for whenever graduation happens?). Here is Lauren Godfrey! After school, she will be working a one-year arboriculture internship at Mt. Cuba Center’s Botanical Gardens and Natural Lands near Wilmington, Delaware. She is interested in forest health and ecosystem restoration.
We are going to miss Lauren’s wit and her ability to LITERALLY run to forestry forum parties.
Our fearless leader out clearing grapevine for sugar bush improvement. Grapevine removal is one of many important timber stand improvement techniques or TSI. Forestry Forum is always looking to practice what we learn. If you have a forest project you need help with, we are always looking for fundraising opportunities!

Holy Cow! We haven't posted in a while! I'm so sorry!
Please enjoy this meme that one of our members made. Because when I'm your TA, you never know what's going to happen!
Catch us tomorrow at 5pm in Kottman Hall for our next meeting!
