Leather Life Educational Series The Leather Life Educational Series is a class series focused on developing, maturing, and growing the leather community in the Greater Columbus area.

Classes are presented quarterly and focus on different aspects of leather culture. Presenters are a combination of local and regional leaders as well as talented presenters from other parts of the nation. For many years now, the leather community in Columbus has struggled to thrive. Leather clubs like Trident, NLA, and OLA have disbanded, and we lost our leather bar eXile many years ago. The Colum

bus Leather Collective wants to bring a revival of leather culture in Columbus through social events, skills demos, leather gear swap meets, and leather education. We seek to promote an inclusive community of leather folk who understand and embrace their historical roots while also adapting to our constantly evolving society. You will not find classes on B**M and kink in this series generally. This series' focus will remain on the Leather lifestyle and leave those topics to the multitude of events and organizations that regularly provide kink and B**M education.

Due to winter weather travel issues, Bear will be teaching gay leather history in place of Sir Topher.

A retired gay leather man, Bear was raised in the leather community in the 80’s while serving Active Duty U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class at Camp Pendleton and 32nd Street Naval Station. Bear is Mr. Classic Leather 2026 and has held the titles of Mr. Leather Akron 2004 and Czar de Oceanside 1982.

SIR Topher began his journey in the lifestyle in 2008. He was introduced into the Leather Community with a foundation in Old Guard without the limitations of Old Guard. Topher has won two titles, BNC boy 2010, Sawmill Leather boy 2012 & Sawmill Leather Sir 2024. He was nominated for Puppy of the Year 2016 with International Puppy Contest, Lifetime Achievement Award for Orlando Leather Pride 2023, & Leather Heart Award 2024. SIR Topher was the Keynote speaker at Florida Power Exchange 2016. SIR Topher was the Contestant Educator at Florida Leather & Fe**sh Pride from 2014 to 2018. SIR Topher on 12/22/2023 officially received his SIR’s cover from his mentor. He is happily married to his partner, MASTER Shadow, and they are the co-founders of Florida Puppy Contest. He is very blessed to have a very accepting biological family who inspired and supported the foundation and development of his Chosen/Leather Family as well.
