"The Wiz" 2024 was a tremendous success, with your support and the talent on the stage that the Directors were lucky to work with. This year we turn the page on a longstanding tradition of EA Drama as we prepare to perform the 8 TONY AWARD WINNING - - HADESTOWN:Teen Edition. (Don't be thrown by the teen edition, it is the same show they just adjusted the vocal ranges of a few characters).

"Hadestown" is the modern retelling of the Ancient Greek story of young love, Orpheus and Eurydice, as well as old love, Hades and Persephone, in the setting of New Orleans. This is the 1st time EA Drama has performed a show that is still on BROADWAY! This show will fill your hearts with LOVE, HOPE and fantastic MEMORIES as we have done in the past.

This show has elements of RENT (young love), THE COLOR PURPLE, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND (a story passed down for generations) 3 classic tales that have all been on our stage!!!!

EA Drama is again a part of the CAPA Marquee Awards, a showcase and awards program honoring HS Musical Theatre in Central Ohio.

We would once again LOVE to have your support for our actors and stage crew (they are building a turntable for this show!!!). Without you our program would not have the impact that it has, thank you.

Local Level Events - Hadestown: Teen Edition The musical is a love story that intertwines the myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone. It's set in a post-apocalyptic New Orleans-inspired underworld. The story follows Orpheus, a singer-songwriter, and Eurydice, a young woman who goes to work in the underworld to escape poverty.

Update: today (Wednesday) is the last day for online sales for Thursday Night’s show. Online sales will stop 24 hours before the show starting time, Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be available at the box office starting 1 hour before show time, cash only is preferred.

Local Level Events - THE WIZ EA Drama performs THE WIZ every 4 years and this will be the last WIZ produced by the Artistic Team of Director - Seth Harms, Mike Keck, Roslyn Dove, Denarian Lewis, Alfred Dove, Briana Sawyer, and Chris Foster plus our NUMEROUS returning musicians.
