On April 17, Dr. Sprayberry's "History of Rock 'n' Roll" class took a field trip to Macon to tour Capricorn Studios and The Allman Brothers Band Museum at The Big House. They were joined by Professors Doug Tompson and Markus Weidler. A good time was had by all!

Today, we are inducting 5 History majors into Phi Alpha Theta, the history honors society. Congrats to all for their hard work, dedication, and exemplary performances throughout their studies!

At the end of April, CSU held its Scholastic Honors Convocation 2026, honoring the top students from each discipline. Congrats to all of award winners! We are so proud of all that you have accomplished thus far.

Last Friday was Tower Day, a celebration of students' and faculty's academic and creative achievements. We had 6 students present posters or oral presentations, proving yet again that History Majors at CSU are well versed in undergraduate research, critical thinking, communication, and engagement. Kudos to all!

Join The Hallock Endowment on April 23rd at Frank Brown Hall to hear a discussion by a distinguished panel of Vietnam War scholars that will explore the enduring legacies and lessons of one of America’s longest conflicts. The panelist will examine the war’s impact on U.S. politics and public memory. The panel highlights how the war continues to shape the United States.
