Parkside Pirates

10/02/2026

Today we’re giving a HUGE shout-out to our amazing custodians! They work hard behind the scenes every single day to keep our school clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our Pirates to learn and grow. 🏴‍☠️✨

From sparkling floors and tidy classrooms to fixing the little things that keep our school running smoothly, we appreciate ALL that you do! 💛🖤

💛 YOU MATTER MONDAY! 💛
At Parkside, we believe every student, every staff member, and every member of our school family matters. YOU MATTER isn’t just something we put on a T-shirt—it’s something we want our Pirates to feel, believe, and live out every day. 🏴‍☠️ Have a great week! 😃

🏴‍☠️ The pirates left it all on the course this morning! Cross Country is all about finding your own treasure—personal growth and determination! 💪 Our runners did an amazing job pushing their own limits, but a pirate is nothing without their crew! ✨ While they run their own race, they are always running for each other. From cheering at the finish line to pacing each other through the toughest miles, their team effort was off the charts. 💛 Check out the race results here 👉🏻https://www.abtiming.com/results/xc-results

📣 BCSC Referendum Renewal Overview Webinar Announcement

BCSC invites our community to join us for a virtual presentation on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the proposed renewal of BCSC’s operating referendum, which will appear on the November ballot.

During the webinar, BCSC officials will share factual information about the referendum and answer questions from the community.

The presentation will cover:

-Renewal of the same referendum rate approved by voters in 2020
-How referendum funds support the recruitment and retention of certified and classified staff, including teachers, teaching assistants, bus drivers, custodians, and others
-How the referendum has contributed to historic outcomes in student achievement, staff retention, school safety, and STEM opportunities
-How this proposal continues the existing referendum rather than establishing a new referendum

📅 Tuesday, September 22
🕖 7:00 p.m.

We encourage BCSC families, staff, and community members to join us to learn more and have their questions answered.
