It's almost here!
You’re invited to attend our upcoming theatre production of Gage County NE, presented in the Theatre at the Fine Arts Building on the Columbus Campus.

Performance Details:
April 9, 10, 11 at 7:00 PM
April 12 at 2:00 PM

Admission is free for all students, faculty, and staff. General admission for community members is $7.

This production is especially meaningful for our students, who had the opportunity to work directly with playwright Cecilia Rubino, the writer of Gage County NE, during her recent residency on campus. She spent a week collaborating with them, offering insight into the script and guiding their understanding of the real-life story behind the play.
Gage County NE tells the story of the Beatrice Six, a group of individuals from Beatrice, Nebraska who were wrongfully convicted. Their case became a powerful example of false confessions and the complexities of the justice system. Through this production, our students engage deeply with themes of truth, memory, and justice, making this both an artistic and educational experience that resonates with our community.
Please note that this production includes a content advisory and is recommended for mature and adult audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
We hope you’ll join us in supporting our students and experiencing this impactful production.

This Sunday the CCC Concert Band and Hilltop Percussion will give their first concert of the semester. Titled "Simple Gifts," the selections represent a wide variety of styles and eras of music, from a Sousa march to a favorite trumpet feature, and from a piece commissioned by Nebraska band directors to a remake of a minimalist classic.

"It's just good music," says director Krista Vazquez-Connelly. "Of course, 'just good music' doesn't make for a strong program title! Thus, after the title of one of our selections, 'Simple Gifts' is a collection of intriguing works, each of which is its own gift to the musicians and listeners."

March 22, 2026, at 3 p.m. in the CCC-Columbus Fine Arts Theater
Free admission, donations accepted
