🥁 Memorial Day Parade Details Are Here! 🇺🇸

We are so excited to kick off the 2026 marching band season with the Worthington Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25! One of the biggest and most well-attended parades in the state! 🎉
Here's what you need to know:

📍 Report at 9:00 AM at Kilbourne Middle School (rear parking lot at the corner of 161/Hartford St., between KMS and the library). Plan to drop off and pick up at the END of the parade route. We typically turn off High Street at East Stanton Ave by the Tim Horton's.

🎺 Students with large instruments (percussion, sousaphones, bari saxes) can load on the trailer at the high school between 8:15 and 8:45 AM. The trailer leaves at 8:45, no exceptions!

👕 Dress is summer uniform: blue WK Marching Band shirt for winds/percussion, black WK tank for guard, black WK shorts for everyone. Veteran members wear marching shoes; new members, tennis shoes are fine (close to black if possible, but no need to go buy anything new!).

💧 Booster parents will have water on the route, so students do NOT need to bring water jugs.

We can't wait to see our new members take the field (and the street!) for the very first time. See you out there! 🥁

BINGO SUCCESS! 🎉 Thanks to YOU

Our Spring Bingo brought over 250 people through the doors this weekend, and we're thrilled to report that the event raised approximately $12,000 in profit for the program! 🎊

This kind of success doesn't happen without an incredible community. Thank you to every parent who donated baked goods and gift cards, to our volunteers who gave their time, and to our committee leads who organized concessions, decorating, ticketing, the bake sale, and all the moving pieces behind the scenes. 🙌

🥁 Spring Camp is HERE, Kilbourne Band families!

Rehearsals kick off THIS WEEK for all sections:

📅 Monday, 5/11 — 6:00–8:30 PM
📅 Tuesday, 5/12 — 6:00–8:30 PM
📅 Monday, 5/18 — 6:00–8:30 PM

The Band Room is officially open and serving as your new report location. Head in through the ramp entrance on the east side of the building near the auditorium. Rehearsal slides will be projected so students can find their starting spots, so encourage them to arrive a few minutes early and be ready to go at the start time.

🌴 Hawaiian Luau Bingo Night is THIS SATURDAY, May 9! Doors open at 5:00 PM and games begin at 6:00 PM at Worthington Kilbourne High School (1499 Hard Rd.).

Tickets are $25 and include 15 games with 6 cards — all games pay $50-$100! There will also be food, raffles, prizes, 50/50, and pull tabs. Additional cards and raffle tickets available at the door. All guests must be 18+.
