The last three days the George Washington Carver School Improvement Team met to engage in a collaborative planning process focused on strengthening student achievement, improving instructional practices, and ensuring continuous school improvement.

During our planning sessions, the team reviewed multiple sources of data, including academic performance, attendance, behavior trends, stakeholder feedback, and school climate indicators.

Through thoughtful discussion and analysis, the team identified areas of strength, prioritized opportunities for growth, and developed strategic goals aligned with district expectations and the needs of our students.

Today, the 4th Battalion Tiger Cadets graduated from the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC).

Our cadets have spent a week training and testing their leadership skills.

Whether they were assigned to a leadership position, tackling their fear of heights, or taking on the water activities, they did it.

Not only did the cadets spend a week training on Fort Benning, but some also took part in the STEM Robotics/Drones Experience and the newly added Medical Experience, where they were trained in real life scenarios and left certified in life saving techniques. We are proud of you all!

🎓 Carver Seniors, your future is waiting!

If you are attending a college or university in Georgia, be sure to submit your final transcript through GA Futures as soon as possible. This important step ensures your college receives your official final transcript and helps keep your enrollment process on track.

Students attending a college or university outside of Georgia who have not already submitted a transcript request should contact Ms. Thomas immediately.

Parents of students eligible for summer school must attend this important meeting to complete the Summer Learning Program Parent Agreement Form. A completed form is required for students to participate in summer school.

Students are eligible for summer school if they failed one of the listed core academic courses. Please review the flyer for eligibility information.

Students may enter through the auditorium doors to pick up their diplomas. Please remember:
✅ Only the student may pick up their diploma
🚫 Parents, family members, and friends cannot pick up diplomas for students

⚠️ If you do not pick up your diploma during this time, you may have to wait until school reopens in the fall.

From practice to the big moment… yesterday the Class of 2026 officially turned their tassels and walked into their next chapter. 🎓✨

What started as graduation practice became a memory they’ll carry for a lifetime at the graduation ceremony. We are proud of every late night, every challenge overcome, every accomplishment, and every senior who made their mark on Carver High School.
