🎥💙💛 **INTRODUCING FORT FIRST!** 💛💙🎥

Good evening, Fort Family!

We are excited to officially premiere **Episode 1 of Fort First**, our NEW student-produced morning announcement show! 🎬🎤

**Fort First** is produced through our **Audio, Video Technology & Film program**, giving our students the opportunity to take what they are learning in the classroom and bring it to life through authentic broadcast production.

🎥 Our students are gaining hands-on experience in:
• Scriptwriting
• Camera Operation
• On-Air Talent
• Graphics
• Audio
• Video Editing

As you watch our first few episodes, remember—**Episode 1 is their starting point, not their finished product!** 🌟 Our students are learning the foundational skills of video and broadcast production, and every episode will provide another opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.

We ask our **Fort Family** to encourage and support our students as they make mistakes, receive feedback, build confidence, and become stronger storytellers and future media professionals.

👏🏽 **Kudos to Ms. Foster, our Communication Educator, and her amazing kiddos for their hard work, creativity, and dedication in bringing Fort First to life!** We are excited to watch them grow and see what they create next! 💙💛

Did you know that September is National Attendance Awareness Month? 🏫✨
This month, Fort Service-Learning Magnet Academy is kicking off a school-wide campaign to celebrate showing up on time, every single day. We want every student in our building to know that their presence truly matters!
Why September is a Big Deal:
The Early Warning: Missing just 2 days of school in September puts students at risk for falling behind later in the year.
The Middle School Shift: By 6th grade, consistent attendance is the #1 predictor of high school graduation success.
The Power of Community: When your child is here, our classrooms are complete, our hallways are brighter, and learning is more fun!
What to Look For This Month: THEMED DRESS FRIDAYS
9/4 - Don't Let Your Attendance Go Wild - Wear animal print!
9/11- H.E.R.O Day - Here, Everyday, Ready, On Time - Wear your favorite superhero!
9/18 - Show up and Shine! - Wear Bright/Neon colors!
Beginning in October, students with perfect attendance will have the opportunity to earn Free Dress Down passes!
