Our middle school students are preparing to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 by learning not only about the events of that day, but also about the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, faith, and service shown by first responders and ordinary citizens.
As part of their learning, students are exploring Scripture passages about courage in difficult times ā including Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 56:4, 2 Timothy 1:7, and Deuteronomy 31:6 ā and reflecting on how these words of faith connect to the bravery witnessed on 9/11.
Next week, our students will put that reflection into action as they participate in the 9/11 Memorial Climb/Walk with the Grandview Heights Fire Department, honoring those who lost their lives and those who courageously answered the call to serve.
A meaningful connection of faith, history, remembrance, and our Courage to Climb theme. šŗšøāļø
