We’re celebrating a strong week of attendance at Brewer Early Innovation Academy! 🎉

Our students and staff showed up, showed out, and made every day count! 💙💜💚

🌟 School-Wide Student Attendance: 91.3%

For a while, Ayonia Shipp couldn’t see the future she once imagined for herself.
She had worked hard, earned her degree, built a career, and dreamed of one day owning a trucking company. But after losing her job and facing setback after setback, it became harder to believe that the future she wanted was still possible.

Then she found BETTER WORK.

What she discovered wasn’t just a path toward employment. She met a community that helped her recognize the strengths she had started to lose sight of and the confidence to keep moving forward.

“I now know what I am capable of.”

Today, Ayonia is working, setting new goals, raising her daughter Dior, and continuing to pursue the future she once thought was out of reach.

Her story is a reminder that sometimes, people don’t need someone to tell them what they’re capable of. They need a community willing to walk alongside them until they can see it for themselves again.

🧁🫎 Moose & Muffin Week with the Kindergarten Crew! 🫎🧁

This week, The Kindergarten Crew enjoyed reading If You Give a Moose a Muffin! Today, we wrapped up our week with a fun story recap and a hands-on muffin activity!

Students explored three different muffin flavors and practiced sorting them by type. Before getting started, students counted backward from 10 as their signal to begin. 🔢

After sorting, the best part arrived—they got to taste each flavor and choose their favorite! 😋🧁 Through this delicious activity, students practiced counting, sorting, comparing, making choices, and sharing their opinions, all while connecting their learning to the story we enjoyed throughout the week.

What a delicious way to end our Moose & Muffin Week! ❤️🧁

Working on the Work Wednesdays!

🌱🔬 Science in Action at Brewer! 🔬🌱

Mrs. Reed, our BEIA Enrichment Instructional Paraprofessional joined Mrs. Jackson’s class for an exciting hands-on science investigation!

Students reviewed classroom safety rules before making predictions and participating in a celery and food-coloring experiment. 🥬💧 They observed how water moves through a plant and reinforced their understanding of plant parts and how plants transport water.

We love seeing our Brewers making predictions, asking questions, and learning through discovery! 🌱✨

August was AMAZING, Brewer Bears! 🐻🎉 Our students and families showed up and showed out with an incredible 97.3% overall attendance rate! 🙌🏽

📚 Pre-K: 97.2%
⭐ Kindergarten: 96.3%
💡 1st Grade: 97.5%
🏆 2nd Grade: 98%

These numbers represent more than percentages—they represent students being present, learning, growing, and making progress every day! Thank you to our families for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. ❤️

We are kicking off another amazing school year by getting our Brewers anchored in positive behavior and positive choices! 💙

Today, our students learned what it means to live out our 3 B’s to Succeed:
✨ Be Respectful
💡 Be Responsible
⚓ Be Safe

Our PBIS kickoff was filled with engaging conversations, real-life examples, and reminders about what responsible behavior looks like in the classroom, on the playground, and throughout our school. Students learned that they can be at Level 3 when playing and show Level 0 when it’s time to line up! 🙌🏾

We’re excited to build a school culture where students know what’s expected, celebrate positive choices, and understand that their behavior helps create the Brewer experience for everyone!
