The NDSEG Fellowship is a highly competitive, portable award for U.S. citizens & nationals intending to pursue a doctoral degree in a STEM discipline.

The Department of Defense (DoD) is committed to increasing the number and quality of our nation's scientists and engineers. The NDSEG Fellowship is sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the Army Research Office (ARO), the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMO), and the Office of Naval Research (ONR), under the direction of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E).

The Science, Technology, and Innovation exchange – STIx – is a two day event that will showcase the extensive S&T investments, outcomes, and innovations from across the Defense enterprise. STIx takes its cues from TED and TEDx series of talks and seeks to showcase and connect our brightest minds, communicate new ideas, and share novel approaches to confronting challenges facing the Defense community.
