Today was a very special day at Spanish for Niños!

During our Circle Time, we celebrated Grandparents’ Day with the grandparents of two of our students, who joined us to read one story in English and another in Spanish. 📚👵🏼👴🏼

🇭🇳 Honduras Week at Spanish for Niños!💙🤍

What an amazing week of learning, creating, and exploring the beautiful country of Honduras! 🌎
And new friends every week :)

Our campers learned about:
🎨 The Honduran flag by painting and coloring.
🗺️ The map of Honduras using tissue paper, torn paper, glue, and play dough to strengthen fine motor skills.
🌺 The national flower through hands-on art activities.
📿 Beautiful Honduran-inspired bead bracelets while practicing patterns and creativity.
🔤 Spelling and recognizing the word **HONDURAS** through fun literacy activities.
🎭 Creating colorful Mayan masks while learning about Honduras’ rich history and culture.

Every activity encouraged Spanish vocabulary, creativity, cultural awareness, problem-solving, and fine motor development; all while having fun! At Spanish for Niños, we believe children learn best when they can explore with their hands, engage their senses, and experience the world through play.

🇦🇷 Friday Cooking Day – Argentina!👩🏻‍🍳👨🏼‍🍳

Our little chefs had so much fun making Pollo a la Milanesa from Argentina! 🇦🇷

As we cooked together, we practiced Spanish by saying every ingredient out loud; huevos, pan rallado, pollo, sal, pimienta, ajo en polvo, comino, building vocabulary through a real-life, hands-on experience.

The children cracked and mixed the eggs, seasoned the breadcrumbs, breaded the chicken, and explored different textures, smells, and cooking steps while developing fine motor skills, following directions, and working together as a team.

At Spanish for Niños, cooking is more than making food; it’s a fun way to learn a new language, discover different cultures, and create lifelong memories.
